  13. Questions about LT Shine

LT Shine is a theme for small jewellery and accessories shops with a workshop, built with free Elementor: a hero that teaches visitors to read the marks inside a band (maker's mark, fineness number in its metal's shape, date letter) on this week's piece, a catalogue tray where every piece starts with its fineness mark, collection pages for rings, wedding bands, signet and stacking rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets with example prices and an 'Ask about this' link, a metals guide that draws each fineness as parts of 1000, a ring size table, repair and resizing prices, commissions, opening hours and an 'Ask about a piece' form. A Hello Elementor child theme with bundled fonts, one-page mode and a mobile menu.

  • Read the marks inside the band: The home page opens with this week's piece and its three marks magnified: maker's mark, fineness number in its metal's shape and date letter, each with what it tells the customer.
  • A catalogue tray without a checkout: Rings, wedding bands, signet and stacking rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets in tray slots with the fineness mark, metal and stone, sizes, example prices and an 'Ask about this' link.
  • Metals drawn as parts of 1000: Each metal you work in, from 9ct gold to platinum, with its fineness drawn as a bar of pure metal and a plain line on how it wears.
  • Ring sizes, repairs and commissions: A ring size table in US, UK and millimetres, repair and resizing prices, a page on reading hallmarks and the steps of a commission.
  • Free Elementor and a ready form: Every page is built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with an 'Ask about a piece' form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • Collections → Rings (Wedding bands, Signet rings, Stacking rings), Earrings, Necklaces, Bracelets
  • Workshop → Find your ring size, Reading hallmarks, Commissions
  • The shop
  • Bench notes
  • Visit

Header button: Ask about a piece (link /visit/#ask), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Shine options.

One-page mode (Pro)

With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Shine options and the menu scrolls to these sections: Read the marks, On the tray this week, Collections, Metals we work in, The bench, Find your ring size, Repairs and resizing, One of one, Bench notes, Visit. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT Shine onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form

With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Ask about a piece on the Visit page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), Phone (optional), What would you like? (required), Which piece?, Ring size, if you know it, How should we reply?, Anything else we should know. Email subject: “Question about a piece from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. Someone at the counter replies by email or phone within one working day.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • Example prices
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Larkin Yard
  • Springfield
  • A punch must match its piece: the shape is the metal (oval silver, clipped square gold, house platinum) and the number its fineness. Never use a punch as decoration, and never show a fineness mark on plated or filled pieces.
  • Keep fine gold (accent) for gold marks and gold fineness figures; never for sales, headlines or decoration.
  • No brand names, certificates, star ratings or reviews presented as real; there is no online checkout, so buttons go to the form or the phone.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Photo guide

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

Questions about LT Shine

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT Shine uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Can customers buy online?

Not with this theme alone: it is a catalogue with prices and an 'Ask about this' link on every piece, which opens the question form. Customers ask, reserve or come into the shop.

How do I change the marks and the punches?

The punches are small SVG drawings in the theme: maker's mark, date letter and the fineness marks 375, 750, 925 and 950. Swap a slot's punch in the Image widget; the names, prices and sizes are normal Elementor text.

Will my site look like the demo?

Yes, with Pro: Appearance > Demo import creates every page, the colours, fonts, menu, header and footer. The demo photos are replaced by placeholders you swap for your own.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free has the design, header and footer, The shop and Visit pages and the blog. Pro adds the home page, the collection, workshop, ring size and hallmark pages, sample posts, one-click demo import, credit removal, updates and support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.

I have the old LT Shine. Is this an update?

It is a new version 2.0 with a new design, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.
