The demo import builds the theme’s demo on your site in one click: the pages, the Elementor kit (global colours, fonts and buttons), the top bar and footer, the main menu and, with WPForms Lite, the contact form.
Run the import
- Make sure Elementor is active (and WPForms Lite if you want the form).
- Go to Appearance → Demo import (Pro) or Appearance → Starter setup (Free).
- Leave Use the imported home page as the front page ticked if you want the demo home page as your homepage.
- Click Import. The screen lists what was created; click View the site.
What it creates
| Item | Where to find it afterwards |
|---|---|
| Pages built with Elementor (Pro: every demo page; Free: the starter pages) | Pages: open one and click Edit with Elementor. |
| Global colours, fonts and button style (the Elementor kit) | In Elementor: Site Settings → Global Colors / Global Fonts. |
| Top bar and footer | Templates → Saved Templates (named after the theme). |
| Main menu | Appearance → Menus. |
| Front page and posts page | Settings → Reading. |
| Sample blog posts (Pro) | Posts. |
| Contact form (with WPForms Lite) | WPForms → All Forms; it is on the Contact page. Messages go to the site admin email. |
| Pictures | Media: placeholder pictures you replace with your own photos. |
Is it safe on a site with content?
- Your existing pages and posts are never changed.
- If a page address is already taken (for example
/about/), the imported page gets a new address. - Imported items are marked: running the import again updates only what it created. Save your own edits of an imported page under a new page first if you want to keep both.
Afterwards
- Replace the demo content: names, phone numbers, prices and the texts marked “(sample)”. Each theme’s docs list what to look for under Demo content to replace.
- Replace the placeholder pictures with your own photos (each theme’s docs give the sizes).
- Set your logo and the header button (Edit with Elementor).
