LT Sport is a sports news magazine theme for Elementor (free), the WordPress version of the LT Sport Joomla template: a black header, three top stories with desk chips, a grid of the latest match reports beside a sidebar with the newest posts and a most-read list, a black morning-email band, sport desks that open with a heavy desk rule (rugby league, boxing, football), weekend results and fixtures, and a 'Send a result' band. Inner pages for every sport desk with league tables for the football divisions, a results page, the newsroom, the reporters, the photo desk and a 'Send a result or a tip' form. Home page sections
The home page sections, in order, with the name they have in Elementor’s Navigator and their CSS ID (the anchor used by one-page mode and by links such as /#top).
| Section (Navigator name) | CSS ID |
|---|---|
| Top stories | #top |
| Latest | #latest |
| Morning email | #briefing |
| Rugby league | #rugby-league |
| Results | #results |
| Boxing | #boxing |
| Football | #football |
| Send a result | #contact |
- The same design as the Joomla template: LT Sport is also a Joomla template; this WordPress version keeps its black header and bands, royal blue headlines, red story badges, chips on photos and heavy desk headings, rebuilt for free Elementor.
- Sport desks: Every sport opens with a heavy desk rule; a chip on each photo names the desk that filed the story, and a red badge says whether it is a match report, a preview, an interview or a feature.
- Results, fixtures and tables: Weekend results by sport, the fixtures for the week, league tables for each football division and a page that explains how results reach the site.
- A sidebar that stays current: The newest posts appear in the sidebar automatically through a shortcode, beside a most-read list you can reorder in the editor.
- Free Elementor and a ready form: Built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with a 'Send a result or a tip' form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.
Menu
The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):
- Home
- Sports → Rugby league, Football (Premier division, Sunday league, Women's football), Boxing, Tennis
- Results
- News
- About us → Our reporters, Photo desk
- Contact
Header button: Send a result (link /contact/#send), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Sport options.
One-page mode
In every edition the menu can scroll to these sections: Top stories, Latest, Morning email, Rugby league, Results, Boxing, Football, Send a result. Free: Appearance → One-page import creates the one-page website with them. Pro: tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Sport options. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.
Used the old LT Sport onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. The Free edition imports the one-page website; Pro adds the full multi-page website.

Form
Pro: with WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Send a result or a tip on the Contact page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), What are you sending? (required), Sport, Club or team, Match, date and score, Report or message, Also send me. Email subject: “Result or tip from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. The desk reads every message; results sent by Sunday 20:00 go into Monday's round-up.”
See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.
Demo content to replace
Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):
(sample)example.com(555)The Springfield Sports DeskSpringfieldGrandstand RoadSample reader
- Keep the desk names fixed (Rugby league, Football, Boxing, Tennis, Athletics, Swimming): a desk chip names the desk that filed the story, never an author or a mood.
- Use one red badge per card at most, and only for the story type (Match report, Preview, Interview, Feature); never as decoration.
- Do not publish real scores, names or quotes without checking them; the demo clubs, players and results are invented and marked (sample).
Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

lt-pagehead | inner page heading band (royal blue) |
lt-person | a reporter: name, desk, beat |
lt-steps | a real sequence (how results reach the site); each lt-step |
lt-desks | the desks overview cards on the Sports page |

Questions about LT Sport
Do I need Elementor Pro?
No. LT Sport uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.
Does it work as a one-page site?
Yes, in every edition. Free imports the one-page website: the Home page sections on one scrolling page, with a menu that scrolls to them and highlights the current section. Pro imports the full multi-page website, and one-page mode is a switch in the Customizer (or the "One-page (scroll menu)" page template).
Is there a Joomla version of LT Sport?
Yes. LT Sport is also a Joomla template on ltheme.com with the same design. The WordPress version is a separate product, built for free Elementor.
Do the stories on the home page update by themselves?
The sidebar's news panel does: it shows your newest posts. The top stories and desk sections are Elementor columns you edit, so you choose what leads the page, as an editor would.
Can I add or rename sports?
Yes. Copy a desk section, change its heading, chips and photos, and add a page under Sports. Keep one name per desk so the chips stay meaningful.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free: theme + one-page website import (the Home page sections on one scrolling page with a scroll menu, imported in one click); the footer credit stays, and help comes from the AI assistant and the contact form. Pro: full multi-page website like the demo: all 15 pages, sample posts and one-click demo import, one-page mode too, credit removal (put your own copyright there), updates and ticket support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.
Also for Joomla
LT Sport also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Sport Joomla docs.
