- The season as an advent calendar: The home page opens with one door per December date: lit when something is on, ringed in gold when you book a place, dark when the market runs as usual.
- Programme day by day: The What's on page repeats the calendar and lists every event by week with the time, the place and whether it is free.
- Workshops with booking: Workshop rows with dates, length, places and example prices, a page per workshop and a booking form for places and groups.
- Stalls and food: Hut groups with photos, a list of makers by hut number, the food and drinks menu and how the deposit mug works.
- Free Elementor and a ready booking form: Every page is built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with a workshop booking and enquiry form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.
Menu
The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):
- Home
- What's on → Workshops (Paper lanterns, Gingerbread houses, Beeswax candles), Opening night, Late nights
- Stalls → Food and drink, Apply for a stall
- About → Families and access, School and group visits
- Market notes
- Visit
Header button: Book a workshop (link /visit/#booking), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Joyful options.
One-page mode (Pro)
With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Joyful options and the menu scrolls to these sections: This December, Opening night, Workshops, Stalls, Opening hours, Families and access, Market notes, Getting here, Call to action. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.
Used the old LT Joyful onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form
With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Workshop booking and enquiries on the Visit page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), What is it about (required), Workshop, Places, Phone (optional), Anything we should know. Email subject: “Workshop booking or enquiry from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. The market office will confirm your places by email, usually the next working day.”
See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.
Demo content to replace
Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):
(sample)Example pricesexample.com(555)Linden SquareCorn ExchangeSpringfield
- A door is one December date in date order; never use doors for anything but the programme, and never put prices or section numbers on them.
- Gold means 'book a place' and appears only on the night band; candle yellow means 'something on that day'.
- Keep prices marked 'Example prices' and the programme marked '(sample)' until they are real.
Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)
The AI kit’s AGENTS.md tells an assistant how LT Joyful is built. The CSS classes it relies on (keep them when you edit):
| CSS class | What it is |
|---|---|
lt-hero | home hero (headline, hours and the calendar) |
lt-calendar | the advent calendar: a grid of 24 lt-door containers in date order |
lt-door | one December date: lt-door__num (the date, Heading) and, when lit, lt-door__what (what and when) |
lt-door--lit | a door with something on that day (candle yellow, leaf folded back) |
lt-door--book | a lit door that needs a booked place (gold ring); only for workshops |
lt-door--eve | door 24, the double door |
lt-door--w1 … lt-door--w4 | the week of the date (staggers the opening moment) |
lt-key | legend under the calendar (inline swatches lt-key__lit, lt-key__book, lt-key__dark) |
lt-timetable | a timed sequence (opening night); each row lt-time |
lt-day | one dated programme row (date, what, where, price or 'Free') |
lt-workshop | one workshop row (dates, name and what you take home, length, price, booking) |
lt-stall | a hut group with its photo, name, what it sells and a link |
lt-steps | numbered steps (a real sequence: how stall applications work); each lt-step |
lt-pagehead | inner page heading band |
lt-desk | contact desk block |
lt-price | label + value row (hours, prices, facts) |
See AI kit for the prompts, the safe edit tool and the launch checker.
Questions about LT Joyful
Do I need Elementor Pro?
No. LT Joyful uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.
Can I change the dates on the calendar?
Yes. Each door is a normal Elementor container with the date and a short text: edit the text, and add or remove the lit or gold-ring class to change what a door shows.
Does it sell tickets or take payments?
No. The booking form sends a request to the market office, which confirms the places by email; visitors pay on the day. Free entry events need no booking at all.
Does it work for other seasonal events?
Yes. Winter festivals, light trails and craft fairs use the same calendar, programme rows and workshop pages.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free has the design, header and footer, the About and Visit pages and the blog. Pro adds the home page, What's on, Workshops, Stalls and their sub-pages, sample posts, one-click demo import, credit removal, updates and support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.
I have the old LT Joyful. Is this an update?
It is a new version 2.0 with a new design, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.
Also for Joomla
LT Joyful also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Joyful Joomla docs.
