Home page sections

The home page sections, in order, with the name they have in Elementor’s Navigator and their CSS ID (the anchor used by one-page mode and by links such as /#hall).

  • The hall plan: The home page opens on the plan of the hall: twelve stalls with their number plates, kitchens, wait times and a yellow tag on every kitchen that delivers.
  • A directory of kitchens: Every kitchen in one list by stall number, with what it cooks, the usual wait, delivery and diets, plus kitchen pages with dishes and prices.
  • Honest delivery from several kitchens: Delivery zones, fees and a bag tag that shows which counters one rider collects from. Orders come by phone or a request form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin; nothing pretends to take payment.
  • Groups, offices and events: Long tables for groups, office lunch orders with a minimum and cut-off time, and hiring the hall for an evening.
  • Pages for the people behind the counters: How the hall works, house rules and access, and a page for cooks who want to rent a stall, with the terms and how to apply.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • Kitchens → Hot food (Lantern Noodles, Brasa Grill, Masala Room), Coffee, sweets and the bar
  • Delivery → Delivery area, Office lunch orders
  • The hall → Events and hire, Cook at Gantry Yard
  • Food notes
  • Contact

Header button: Order delivery (link #delivery), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Food Court options.

One-page mode (Pro)

With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Food Court options and the menu scrolls to these sections: The hall, Opening hours, How it works, Today, Delivery, Groups, Cook here, Food notes, Find us. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT Food Court onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form

With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Delivery, collection or group request on the Contact page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), Phone number (required), What would you like? (required), Day and time (required), Kitchens and dishes, Delivery address, People (for tables or office orders). Email subject: “Delivery, collection or group request from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. The delivery desk will call or email you to confirm the kitchens, the total and the time before anything is cooked. Nothing is charged online.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • Example prices
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Gantry Yard
  • Depot Street
  • Springfield
  • Stall plates (`lt-plate`) identify a stall on the plan; keep each kitchen's number the same everywhere and never use plates as section numbers or bullets.
  • Do not add buttons that suggest online payment or instant checkout: delivery and collection orders go through the phone number or the request form.
  • Crane yellow is for the Delivers tag (with ink text) and marks on dark bands; never use it for text on light backgrounds.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Photo guide

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

Questions about LT Food Court

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT Food Court uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Does the theme take online orders and payments?

No. Delivery, collection and group requests come in by phone or through the request form (free WPForms Lite), and customers pay the rider, at the desk or at the counter. If you later add an ordering service, link the buttons to it.

Can I change the stalls on the plan?

Yes. Each stall is a normal Elementor container with a number, a kitchen name, a line of text and a wait time. Edit them in Elementor, or let an AI assistant do it with the AI kit's safe edit tool.

Does it work for a food court with fewer kitchens?

Yes. Remove stalls from the plan and the directory; the grid closes up. The plan also works for a market with six or eight traders.

Will my site look like the demo?

Yes, with Pro: Appearance > Demo import creates every page, the colours, fonts, menu, header and footer. The demo photos are replaced by placeholders you swap for your own.

I have the old LT Food Court. Is this an update?

It is a new version 2.0 with a new design, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.

Also for Joomla

LT Food Court also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Food Court Joomla docs.
