Every LTHEME Elementor theme is a child theme: it needs its parent theme, Hello Elementor, and the free Elementor plugin. This takes about five minutes.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.6 or newer (tested with 7.1).
- PHP 7.4 or newer (tested with PHP 8.3 and 8.4).
- The free Elementor plugin (tested with 4.3). Elementor Pro is not needed.
- The free Hello Elementor theme from WordPress.org (the parent theme; it only needs to be installed).
- Recommended, not required: the free WPForms Lite plugin for the contact form.
Download
- Free: click Free download on the theme’s page on ltheme.com. You get a .zip file.
- Pro Standard and Pro Unlimited: after paying, download the .zip from your account. The licence key is in your order email.
Do not unzip the file. WordPress installs the .zip as it is.
Install
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Elementor, then click Install Now and Activate.
- Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme, search for Hello Elementor and click Install. You do not need to activate it.
- On the same screen click Upload Theme, choose your theme’s .zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
- Optional: install and activate WPForms Lite (the theme shows a notice with a button). Do this before the demo import if you want the contact form.
Next: with Pro, import the demo in one click (Demo import). With Free, Appearance → Starter setup creates the starter pages, colours and menu.
Your licence key and one-click updates
- Go to Appearance → Licence.
- Paste the key from your order email or your account and click Activate licence.
- When a new version is out it appears in Dashboard → Updates. Click Update now.
The Licence screen shows the status of your key (active, updates ended, website limit reached…), the version you have and the latest version. Without a key the theme keeps working; only updates need one.
Update by hand
- Download the new .zip from your account (Pro) or the theme page (Free).
- Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme and upload it.
- Click Replace current with uploaded.
Your pages, Elementor content, menus and Customizer settings are stored in the database, not in the theme files, so they stay after an update.
Upgrade from Free to Pro
Upload the Pro .zip the same way and choose Replace current with uploaded. Then run the demo import to add the pages that come with Pro.
