Home page sections

The home page sections, in order, with the name they have in Elementor’s Navigator and their CSS ID (the anchor used by one-page mode and by links such as /#board).

Section (Navigator name)CSS ID
Today's board#board
The counter#counter
Featured this week#featured
Prepared while you wait#prepare
This morning's landings#boats
Seafood platters#platters
From the quay#notes
Visit#visit
  • The measuring board: The home page opens with today's whole fish drawn to scale against a nose stop on a yellow board, with length, weight, how many each serves and the price.
  • A catalogue without a checkout: Collections, featured items and price rows, each with an 'Ask about this' link to the fish order form. No shop plugin to set up or maintain.
  • Fish pages by kind: Whole fish, round fish, flatfish and oily fish each get their own board, with cooking notes and a size guide.
  • Preparation and platters: Free knife work in three steps, a preparation price list, seafood platters to order and the boats and landings behind the fish.
  • Free Elementor and a ready order form: Every page is built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with a fish order form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • The counter → Whole fish (Round fish, Flatfish, Oily fish), Shellfish, Smoked and cured
  • Prepared → Seafood platters, Filleting and preparation
  • About → Boats and landings, Fish by season
  • From the quay
  • Order and visit

Header button: Order a fish (link /visit/#order), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Seafood options.

One-page mode (Pro)

With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Seafood options and the menu scrolls to these sections: Today's board, The counter, Featured this week, Prepared while you wait, This morning's landings, Seafood platters, From the quay, Visit. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT Seafood onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form

With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Fish order on the Order and visit page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), Phone (optional), What would you like? (required), Fish and sizes, How should we prepare it?, When will you collect?, Extras. Email subject: “Fish order from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. We reply by email or phone before 10:00 on a working day and tell you when your fish is ready to collect.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • Example prices
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Ebb & Flounder
  • Ebb & Flounder
  • Harbour Steps
  • Springfield
  • Kestrel
  • Morwenna
  • Little Auk
  • Port Ellery
  • Keep every fish on the board to scale: the lt-cm class is the fish's length in centimetres and must match the length written beside it.
  • Use board yellow only for the measuring board; never as a heading, button or section colour.
  • Do not add health, sustainability or certification claims; keep 'Example prices' with every price.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Photo guide

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

Questions about LT Seafood

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT Seafood uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Can I sell online with it?

The theme is a catalogue: fish, prices and an order form that sends you the request. It does not include a cart or payments, so customers pay when they collect or you arrange delivery.

How do I change a fish on the board?

Each silhouette is a span with a shape class (lt-fish–round or lt-fish–flat) and a length class (lt-cm10 to lt-cm80). Edit them in the Text Editor widget with the name and length beside them, or ask an AI assistant to do it with the AI kit's safe edit tool.

Will my site look like the demo?

Yes, with Pro: Appearance > Demo import creates every page, the colours, fonts, menu, header and footer. The demo photos are replaced by placeholders you swap for your own.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free has the design, header and footer, the About and Order and visit pages and the blog. Pro adds the home page, the counter, whole fish and prepared pages with their sub-pages, sample posts, one-click demo import, credit removal, updates and support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.

I have the old LT Seafood. Is this an update?

It is a new version 2.0 with a new design for seafood shops and fishmongers, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.

Also for Joomla

LT Seafood also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Seafood Joomla docs.
