Home page sections

The home page sections, in order, with the name they have in Elementor’s Navigator and their CSS ID (the anchor used by one-page mode and by links such as /#top).

  • A portrait and how it was lit: The home page opens with a portrait beside the lighting diagram that made it, with a legend in plain words.
  • Sessions with their setups: Portraits, headshots, family and product sessions, each introduced by its own drawing of lights, reflector and camera, with length, pictures and price.
  • Recent work with real captions: A photo grid where every caption says who or what it is and how it was lit.
  • Booking steps, prices and the studio: Five booking steps, example prices, what every session includes, and a floor plan of the studio with access and parking.
  • Free Elementor and a ready booking form: Every page is built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with a session booking request form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • Sessions → Portraits, Headshots (Individual headshots, Team days, Actor headshots), Family, Product
  • The studio → Studio hire
  • About → What to wear
  • Journal
  • Book

Header button: Book a session (link /contact/), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Photography options.

One-page mode (Pro)

With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Photography options and the menu scrolls to these sections: Welcome, Sessions, Recent work, How it works, Prices, Kind words, The studio, Journal, Call to action. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT Photography onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form

With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Session booking request on the Book page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), Phone (optional), Session (required), Preferred dates, How many people, Where, What are the photos for?. Email subject: “Booking request from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. Ines will reply by email within one working day with free dates and a time for a short planning call.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • Example prices
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Northlight Studio
  • Ines Calder
  • Foundry Row
  • Springfield
  • Keep the diagram keys as letters that match the legend; do not number sessions or photos.
  • Use tungsten amber only for light in the diagrams and marks on the dark band, never for text on light backgrounds.
  • Every photo caption should say what the picture is and how it was lit; do not replace captions with decorative labels.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Photo guide

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

Questions about LT Photography

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT Photography uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Can I change the lighting diagrams?

Yes. They are SVG drawings in the theme's images folder, shown with the normal Image widget; swap one for your own setup drawing and edit the legend text beside it in Elementor.

Is it a gallery theme?

It is a theme for photographers who sell sessions: recent work with captions, sessions and prices, the studio and a booking form. Add more photos with the free Image and Gallery widgets.

Will my site look like the demo?

Yes, with Pro: Appearance > Demo import creates every page, the colours, fonts, menu, header and footer. The demo photos are replaced by placeholders you swap for your own.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free has the design, header and footer, the About and Book pages and the blog. Pro adds the home page, the Sessions and Studio pages with their sub-pages, sample posts, one-click demo import, credit removal, updates and support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.

I have the old LT Photography. Is this an update?

It is a new version 2.0 with a new design, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.

Also for Joomla

LT Photography also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Photography Joomla docs.
