Home page sections

The home page sections, in order, with the name they have in Elementor’s Navigator and their CSS ID (the anchor used by one-page mode and by links such as /#pit).

  • The pit schedule: The home page opens with tonight's pit: every meat from the hour it went on the smoke to the 11:00 doors line, with wood, temperature and resting time.
  • A board sold by the pound: Smoked meats with half-pound and pound prices, sides, desserts, plates and sandwiches, and an allergy section.
  • Honest hours: Opening hours that say 'until sold out', a counter guide in five steps and pit notes that explain why the brisket goes first.
  • Order ahead and catering: Whole cuts with lead times, catering packages per person, what you bring to an event and a pickup and catering request form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin.
  • The smokers, the wood, the crew: Pages for the smokers, the pit log, the farms and wood yard, and the people who keep the fire going all night.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • Menu → By the pound (Brisket, Pork ribs, Sausage), Sides and desserts
  • Catering → Whole cuts to go, Events and weddings
  • Our pit → The smokers, Wood and farms
  • Pit notes
  • Contact

Header button: Order ahead (link #pickup), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT BBQ options.

One-page mode (Pro)

With Pro Standard or Pro Unlimited, tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT BBQ options and the menu scrolls to these sections: Tonight's pit, Opening hours, By the pound, How the counter works, Order ahead, Catering, Who tends the fire, Pit notes, Find us. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT BBQ onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. Install its Pro edition and turn on one-page mode.

Form

With WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Pickup and catering request on the Contact page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), Phone number (required), What do you need? (required), Day and time (required), How many people?, Meats, Anything else. Email subject: “Pickup or catering request from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. We call or email you within a day to confirm the meats, the price and the pickup time. Nothing is charged online.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • Example prices
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Low Creek Smokehouse
  • Railyard Road
  • Springfield
  • Keep the pit schedule for meats on the smoke: every row's four track values must add up to 18 hours (18:00 to 12:00), and the bar lengths must be the real hours.
  • Do not add buttons that suggest online payment or instant ordering: orders go through the phone number or the request form.
  • Keep ember for the doors line and marks on the dark band; it never carries text on light backgrounds.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Photo guide

The demo uses placeholder pictures. Replace each one in Elementor (click it → Choose image) with a photo of about this size; save photos as JPEG or WebP under about 300 KB.

Questions about LT BBQ

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT BBQ uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Can I change the pit schedule to my own cook times?

Yes. Each meat is a row with four widths that add up to the 18 hours from 18:00 to 12:00: before, on the smoke, resting and after. Change the numbers in Elementor's grid settings, or ask an AI assistant to do it with the AI kit's safe edit tool.

Does the theme take online orders and payments?

No. Orders and catering requests come in by phone or through the request form (free WPForms Lite), and customers pay when they collect. If you add an ordering service later, link the buttons to it.

Will my site look like the demo?

Yes, with Pro: Appearance > Demo import creates every page, the colours, fonts, menu, header and footer. The demo photos are replaced by placeholders you swap for your own.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free has the design, header and footer, the Our pit and Contact pages with the request form, and the blog. Pro adds the home page, the menu, meat, catering and smoker pages, sample posts, one-click demo import, credit removal, updates and support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.

I have the old LT BBQ. Is this an update?

It is a new version 2.0 with a new design, built for free Elementor. Your current site keeps working; install 2.0 on a new site or a staging copy and import the demo there.

Also for Joomla

LT BBQ also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT BBQ Joomla docs.
