LT Coinews is a crypto news and explainer theme for Elementor (free), the WordPress version of the LT Coinews Joomla template: three top stories over their photos, a newsletter strip, the Blockchain, Metaverse, NFT and Cryptocurrencies desks with a sidebar (follow links, latest posts, words to know), a 'Start here' reading order, how the newsroom reports and an 'Ask the newsroom' section. Every story shows its desk and its depth (brief, explainer or deep dive) on the cyan desk rule. Inner pages for the topics and each desk, three short explainers, editorial standards, a glossary, an about page and a question and story tip form. Education and news only: no prices, no tickers, no trading buttons. A Hello Elementor child theme with bundled fonts, one-page mode and a mobile menu.

  • The same design as the Joomla template: LT Coinews is also a Joomla template; this WordPress version keeps its white news layout, cyan desk labels, top stories over their photos, sidebar and dark footer, rebuilt for free Elementor.
  • Four desks and a sidebar: Blockchain, Metaverse, NFT and Cryptocurrencies sections with story cards, a lead story, thumbnail lists and a sidebar with follow links, latest posts, words to know and a Start here box.
  • A depth meter on every story: The cyan desk rule, split in three, tells readers whether a story is a brief, an explainer or a deep dive, with the reading time in words beside it.
  • Education, not advice: No prices, tickers or trading buttons. Editorial standards, a glossary, short explainers and 'not financial advice' notes are part of the demo.
  • Free Elementor and a ready contact form: Built with free Elementor widgets on Hello Elementor, with a 'Question or story tip' form made with the free WPForms Lite plugin. Fonts are bundled: no Google Fonts requests.

The demo import creates this main menu (Appearance → Menus):

  • Home
  • Topics → Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin basics, Stablecoins, Wallets and keys), Blockchain, NFT, Metaverse
  • Start here
  • About us → Editorial standards, Glossary
  • News
  • Contact

Header button: Get the newsletter (link /contact/#write), changed in Appearance → Customize → LT Coinews options.

One-page mode

In every edition the menu can scroll to these sections: Top stories, Newsletter, Blockchain, Metaverse, NFT, Cryptocurrencies, How we report, Ask the newsroom. Free: Appearance → One-page import creates the one-page website with them. Pro: tick One-page mode on the home page in Appearance → Customize → LT Coinews options. To change the labels or leave sections out, see One-page mode.

Used the old LT Coinews onepage WordPress theme? It is not sold any more: version 2.0 is one theme for both. The Free edition imports the one-page website; Pro adds the full multi-page website.

Colours and fonts

Change them in Elementor Site Settings → Global Colors and Global Fonts; the whole site follows.

Form

Pro: with WPForms Lite active, the demo import creates the form Question or story tip on the Contact page. Fields: Your name (required), Email (required), What is this about? (required), Which desk?, Link to the story (optional), Your message (required), Newsletter. Email subject: “Question or story tip from the website”. After sending, visitors see: “Thank you. An editor reads every message; we reply by email within two working days when you ask a question.”

See Contact form for where messages go and how to change the fields.

Demo content to replace

Everything marked with one of these in the demo is sample content: names, numbers, prices and addresses that you replace with your own (or delete):

  • (sample)
  • example.com
  • (555)
  • Coinews Desk
  • Ledger Lane
  • Springfield
  • Never add prices, tickers, charts of prices, buy or sell buttons, or predictions: this is an education and news theme; keep the 'not financial advice' notes.
  • Keep the desk rule honest: the cyan bar marks the desk, and the depth meter (lt-depth-1/2/3) must match the words beside it (brief, explainer, deep dive).
  • Stories, people and dates in the demo are samples marked (sample); replace them with real ones or remove them, never present them as real reporting.

Only publish facts that are true for your business: real prices, opening hours, reviews and qualifications. Pro Unlimited’s launch checker lists every sample marker left on the site.

Questions about LT Coinews

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. LT Coinews uses only the free Elementor plugin and the free Hello Elementor theme. The header and footer are part of the theme, so you do not need Theme Builder.

Does it work as a one-page site?

Yes, in every edition. Free imports the one-page website: the Home page sections on one scrolling page, with a menu that scrolls to them and highlights the current section. Pro imports the full multi-page website, and one-page mode is a switch in the Customizer (or the "One-page (scroll menu)" page template).

Is there a Joomla version of LT Coinews?

Yes. LT Coinews is also a Joomla template on ltheme.com with the same design. The WordPress version is a separate product, built for free Elementor.

Can it show live crypto prices?

It is designed for news and education, so the demo has no prices, tickers or trading buttons. The sidebar and sections are ordinary Elementor containers if you choose to add your own widgets.

How do the story cards link to my posts?

The home page stories are Elementor cards you edit by hand (photo, headline, depth line, link), and the 'Latest posts' boxes list your newest posts automatically.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free: theme + one-page website import (the Home page sections on one scrolling page with a scroll menu, imported in one click); the footer credit stays, and help comes from the AI assistant and the contact form. Pro: full multi-page website like the demo: all 15 pages, sample posts and one-click demo import, one-page mode too, credit removal (put your own copyright there), updates and ticket support. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit.

Also for Joomla

LT Coinews also exists as a Joomla template: see the LT Coinews Joomla docs.
