LT Thimble is a WooCommerce block theme for subscription boxes, shown as an embroidery kit club that sends a printed pattern, the floss and a video guide for each new stitch every month or every two months. Its hoop hero, round hoop cards, plan picker with a kit size x rhythm table, skill level path, this month's kit, stitch library preview and skip / pause / cancel and gift sections all run on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit, so an assistant can rebrand and extend the store safely.

Editions

  • Free: the LT Thimble theme package: all templates, the section patterns, page layouts and colour styles. No demo content or demo import; the footer credit stays.
  • Pro Standard ($29 a year): + the complete LT Thimble demo store with one-click import, one year of updates with a licence key and ticket support; the footer credit is removed.
  • Pro Unlimited ($49 once): + the AI kit, unlimited websites and lifetime updates and support.

Quick setup

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then upload and activate LT Thimble (Install the theme).
  2. Pro: Appearance → Demo import → Import (Demo import), then add your licence key in Appearance → Licence.
  3. Free: build the pages with the theme’s patterns and page layouts (below).
  4. Pick a colour style in Appearance → Editor → Styles, set your logo and menu.
  5. Replace the sample content and go live (Going live).

What the demo import adds (Pro)

Appearance → Demo import shows one demo, Thimble: A rose linen, plum and teal store for an embroidery kit club: a hoop, threads and a printed pattern every month or every two months, with video stitch guides, plus single kits, floss, hoops, tools and gift plans. Photos sit in round hoops and little cross-stitch rows divide the sections. It adds:

  • 16 products (7 variable, with options, 4 on sale)
  • 6 product categories: Kit club plans, Single kits, Threads & floss, Hoops & fabric, Tools & notions, Kit club gifts
  • 7 pages: Home, Shop, How plans work, Stitch library, About, Contact, FAQ & delivery (WooCommerce’s own Cart, Checkout and My account pages are used as they are)
  • The main menu: Plans, Shop, Stitches, About, FAQ, Contact
  • The style Thimble, the site title and tagline and the announcement bar text

Existing content is never changed: anything whose address is already taken is skipped. Prices are marked “Example prices”.

Store-type notes: Subscription boxes

  • The plans in the demo are variable products (for example plan size × frequency), so a customer picks a plan and pays for one box at checkout.
  • WooCommerce alone does not take recurring payments. For automatic renewals, skip, pause and cancel in the customer’s account, add a subscriptions plugin and set the plans up as subscription products. The theme’s “how plans work”, skip / pause / cancel and gift sections are page content that you adapt to the plugin you choose.
  • Never promise automatic renewals, free cancellation or delivery dates that your set-up does not give.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With the AI kit an assistant can set up your plans as variable products, update this month's kit and the stitch library, and rebrand the store in theme.json without breaking the block markup. It follows rules that keep subscriptions-plugin notes and sample labels, such as the video guide labels, in place until you confirm the facts.

Example prompt: Set up this LT Thimble store for my embroidery kit club "Loop & Linen" (sample): Mini, Classic and Large plans every month at $20, $30 and $42, every 2 months at $23, $34 and $47, gift plans of 3, 6 and 12 kits, dispatch on Wednesdays, cut-off Friday. Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

The live demo of LT Thimble shows real photos; the theme uses its own illustrations and placeholders. The photos are from Pexels, free to use under the Pexels licence (credit is not required, but we thank the photographers):

Questions about LT Thimble

Does LT Thimble renew subscriptions by itself?

No. The theme shows plans, a plan picker and skip / pause / cancel sections, but recurring orders and billing need a WooCommerce subscriptions plugin. Without one, each kit is a one-off order.

How are the plans set up in the demo?

Each plan is a variable product with Kit size (Mini, Classic, Large) and Frequency (every month or every 2 months) attributes, so customers pick both on the product page.

Does the theme include the video stitch guides?

No. The stitch library cards show sample video guide labels. Link each card to your own videos, a video block or a course plugin.

Can I sell single kits, floss and hoops next to the plans?

Yes. The demo sells single kits, floss, hoops, fabric and tools as normal products, and gift plans as a prepaid variable product.

Can I change the skill levels?

Yes. The skill level path is a pattern with four steps; rename the levels, the stitches and the kit numbers to match your own course.

Is the theme only for embroidery shops?

No. The sections suit other craft subscription boxes, such as cross-stitch, knitting or watercolour kits: rename the kit sizes, levels and stitch cards, and swap the hoop art.
