  14. Questions about LT Stubble

LT Stubble is a WooCommerce block theme for refill subscriptions, shown as a shaving club that sends double-edge blades, shave soap and balm every one, two or three months after a starter kit with a weighted razor handle. It has refill plan cards, a plan picker with a blades x cadence table, a twelve-month refill schedule, skip / pause / cancel, a gift set and a shave guide, all on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit, so an assistant can rebrand and extend the store safely.

What the demo import adds (Pro)

Appearance → Demo import shows one demo, Stubble: A steel-blue and brass store for a shaving refill club: blade refill plans every one, two or three months, a starter kit, handles, soap, brushes and gift sets, with a plan picker, a refill schedule and a shave guide. It adds:

  • 15 products (6 variable, with options, 4 on sale)
  • 6 product categories: Refill plans, Razor handles, Blades, Soap & balm, Brushes & stands, Gift sets
  • 6 pages: Home, Shop, How plans work, About, Contact, FAQ & delivery (WooCommerce’s own Cart, Checkout and My account pages are used as they are)
  • The main menu: Plans, Shop, About, FAQ, Contact
  • The style Steel, the site title and tagline and the announcement bar text

Existing content is never changed: anything whose address is already taken is skipped. Prices are marked “Example prices”.

Store-type notes: Subscription boxes

  • The plans in the demo are variable products (for example plan size × frequency), so a customer picks a plan and pays for one box at checkout.
  • WooCommerce alone does not take recurring payments. For automatic renewals, skip, pause and cancel in the customer’s account, add a subscriptions plugin and set the plans up as subscription products. The theme’s “how plans work”, skip / pause / cancel and gift sections are page content that you adapt to the plugin you choose.
  • Never promise automatic renewals, free cancellation or delivery dates that your set-up does not give.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With the AI kit an assistant can set up your plans as variable products, update the starter kit, refill schedule and shave guide, and rebrand the store in theme.json without breaking the block markup. It follows rules that keep subscriptions-plugin notes and sample labels in place and avoids skin-care claims until you confirm the facts.

Example prompt: Set up this LT Stubble store for my shaving club "Edge & Lather" (sample): 5, 10 or 15 blades every 1, 2 or 3 months at $7, $12 and $17 every 2 months, a $32 starter kit, gift sets of 3, 6 and 12 refills, dispatch on Tuesdays, cut-off Saturday. Use the Oxblood style with my brand colour #5C1A22, update the plan cards, plan picker and plan table, and rewrite the shave guide in my words.

See AI kit for the files, the prompts and the Abilities.

Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

Demo photos

Questions about LT Stubble

Does LT Stubble renew subscriptions by itself?

No. The plan cards, plan picker, refill schedule and skip / pause / cancel section show how a refill store works, but repeat orders and billing need a WooCommerce subscriptions plugin. Without one, each refill is a normal order.

How are the plans set up in the demo?

Each plan is a variable product with two attributes, Blades per refill (4, 8 or 12) and Frequency (every month, 2 months or 3 months), with one price per combination. A subscriptions plugin can turn them into subscription products.

Can I use it for refills other than razor blades?

Yes. The sections fit any refill subscription, such as toothbrush heads, filters or coffee pods: rename the plans, the counter and the schedule and swap the art and photos.

Is the refill schedule connected to customer accounts?

No. The refill schedule and the hero blade counter are static sample sections. Real dates, skips and pauses come from the subscriptions plugin you install.

Does the theme include gift sets?

Yes. The demo has a prepaid gift set as a variable product with 3, 6 or 12 refills, paid once, and a gift set section for the homepage and the How plans work page.

Are the demo photos included in the theme?

No. The live demo uses Pexels photos; the theme ships its own flat illustrations and placeholders.
