LT Shears is a WooCommerce block theme for salon and barber supplies wholesalers with a large catalogue, shown as a trade supplier of hair colour, care, scissors, electricals, salon furniture and disposables in eight departments. It has a split hero with a big product search and popular searches, a two-level department mega menu, 4-column product cards with a pro-price badge, a quick order list, case prices, stylist / salon / chain trade tiers, click & collect, education events and a shade chart, all on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit, so an assistant can rebrand and extend the store safely.

Editions

  • Free: the LT Shears theme package: all templates, the section patterns, page layouts and colour styles. No demo content or demo import; the footer credit stays.
  • Pro Standard ($29 a year): + the complete LT Shears demo store with one-click import, one year of updates with a licence key and ticket support; the footer credit is removed.
  • Pro Unlimited ($49 once): + the AI kit, unlimited websites and lifetime updates and support.

Quick setup

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then upload and activate LT Shears (Install the theme).
  2. Pro: Appearance → Demo import → Import (Demo import), then add your licence key in Appearance → Licence.
  3. Free: build the pages with the theme’s patterns and page layouts (below).
  4. Pick a colour style in Appearance → Editor → Styles, set your logo and menu.
  5. Replace the sample content and go live (Going live).

What the demo import adds (Pro)

Appearance → Demo import shows one demo, Shears: A black and gold salon and barber supplies wholesaler with a search-first split hero, eight departments in a mega menu, product cards with a pro-price badge, a quick order list, case prices, stylist / salon / chain trade tiers, click & collect, education events and a shade chart. It adds:

  • 28 products (7 variable, with options, 5 on sale)
  • 18 product categories (8 main categories and 10 sub-categories): Hair colour, Hair care, Styling, Scissors & razors, Electricals, Brushes & combs, Salon furniture, Disposables
  • 6 pages: Home, Shop, Trade account, About, Contact, FAQ & delivery (WooCommerce’s own Cart, Checkout and My account pages are used as they are)
  • The main menu: Departments, Hair colour, Electricals, Furniture, Trade account, FAQ & delivery, Contact
  • The style Salon Black, the site title and tagline and the announcement bar text

Existing content is never changed: anything whose address is already taken is skipped. Prices are marked “Example prices”.

Stylist, salon and chain tiers, how to apply, the quick order list, case prices, click & collect at the trade counter and trade FAQ on one page. This is the Large catalogue & B2B page of LT Shears: see it on the live demo. Pro imports it with the demo; with Free, create a page and insert the Trade account page layout from Patterns → LT Shears: full pages.

Store-type notes: Large catalogue & B2B

  • The demo has 28 products in 18 categories (two levels), with a search-first header and a category menu.
  • The quick order list, bulk / case prices and trade account tiers are static sections. Trade prices per customer, minimum quantities and trade accounts need a B2B / wholesale plugin.
  • Import your real catalogue with Products → Import (CSV) once the design is set.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With the AI kit an assistant can set up your departments and mega menu, write product descriptions with product codes, pack sizes and specifications, update the quick order list, case prices, shade chart and education events, and rebrand the store in theme.json without breaking the block markup. It follows rules that keep the B2B and bookings plugin notes, safety-text placeholders and sample labels in place until you confirm the facts.

Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

Questions about LT Shears

Does the pro-price badge show trade prices?

The badge and the trade sections show how a trade counter works. Showing different prices to stylists, salons and chains needs a WooCommerce B2B or wholesale plugin; the theme then gives it a matching look.

Can I show pack sizes and unit prices?

Yes. Each product's short description starts with the pack size and the unit price in the demo (for example "Box of 12 tubes · $5.40 a tube"), and every card shows the product code. Edit that line per product in WooCommerce.

How does the shade chart work?

It is a section with a level / tone legend and twelve swatch images labelled with shade codes. Edit the labels and swap the swatch images to match the colour range you sell; customers then pick the shade on the product page.

Does the theme include colour safety instructions?

No. Product descriptions and the shade chart show a placeholder where the maker's patch-test and safety text goes. Copy that text from the maker for each product.

Can customers book education events online?

The education events section shows dates, formats and seats, and its buttons request a seat by email. Online booking or tickets need an events or bookings plugin.

How are the departments and the mega menu set up?

The demo has eight top-level product categories (departments) with sub-categories under five of them. The first item of the header menu is the Departments button; on desktop it opens a three-column panel.
