LT Darkroom is a WooCommerce block theme for shops that refurbish and sell film cameras, lenses and film, and develop the rolls their customers shoot. It has a contact-sheet hero, A / B / C condition grading in film-frame cards, a 35mm / medium format guide, a 12-point tested checklist, a film stock picker, a develop and scan price table, a lens mount table and a warranty explainer, all on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit, so an assistant can rebrand and extend the store safely.

Editions

  • Free: the LT Darkroom theme package: all templates, the section patterns, page layouts and colour styles. No demo content or demo import; the footer credit stays.
  • Pro Standard ($29 a year): + the complete LT Darkroom demo store with one-click import, one year of updates with a licence key and ticket support; the footer credit is removed.
  • Pro Unlimited ($49 once): + the AI kit, unlimited websites and lifetime updates and support.

Quick setup

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then upload and activate LT Darkroom (Install the theme).
  2. Pro: Appearance → Demo import → Import (Demo import), then add your licence key in Appearance → Licence.
  3. Free: build the pages with the theme’s patterns and page layouts (below).
  4. Pick a colour style in Appearance → Editor → Styles, set your logo and menu.
  5. Replace the sample content and go live (Going live).

What the demo import adds (Pro)

Appearance → Demo import shows one demo, Darkroom: A dark, safelight-red shop for refurbished film cameras and lenses, with a contact-sheet hero, A/B/C condition grading, a 12-point tested checklist, a format guide, a film stock picker, a develop and scan service, a lens mount table and a sample warranty. It adds:

  • 16 products (12 variable, with options, 6 on sale)
  • 5 product categories: 35mm cameras, Medium format, Lenses, Film stock, Develop & scan
  • 6 pages: Home, Shop, The darkroom guide, About, Contact, FAQ & delivery (WooCommerce’s own Cart, Checkout and My account pages are used as they are)
  • The main menu: Cameras, Film, Develop & scan, Guide, About, Contact
  • The style Darkroom, the site title and tagline and the announcement bar text

Existing content is never changed: anything whose address is already taken is skipped. Prices are marked “Example prices”.

Store-type notes: Purpose store

  • The home page has only the sections this kind of shop needs; add more from the theme’s patterns if you want them.
  • Every fact in the specialist sections (guides, care notes, times, prices) is a sample: replace it with what is true for your shop.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With Pro Unlimited, an AI assistant reads the theme rules and can set your grading scale, test checklist, film stocks, lab prices and lens mounts, and build landing pages without breaking the blocks. It can also import the demo, switch styles and create draft pages through WordPress Abilities.

Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

The live demo of LT Darkroom shows real photos; the theme uses its own illustrations and placeholders. The photos are from Pexels, free to use under the Pexels licence (credit is not required, but we thank the photographers):

Questions about LT Darkroom

How are camera grades handled?

Each camera is a WooCommerce variable product with a Grade attribute (A, B, C), so customers choose a grade in the normal add-to-cart form and each grade can have its own price and stock.

Can I sell one-off used cameras?

Yes. Turn on stock management and set the quantity of each grade to the number you have; a sold-out grade disappears from the form.

Can I sell film developing as a service?

Yes. The demo sells develop and scan as a variable product with Format and Service options; customers post their rolls with the order number. Prices and turnaround in the demo are samples.

Does the theme include camera or film brand names?

No. Cameras, lens mounts and film stocks are generic, so you add your own models and the stocks you are allowed to name.

Is the warranty text a legal guarantee?

No. The warranty explainer is a sample written so you can add your own terms; local consumer rights still apply.

Do the demo photos come with the theme?

No. The live demo uses Pexels photos; the theme ships its own flat illustrations, frame diagrams and film boxes.
