LT Temper is a WooCommerce block theme for bean-to-bar chocolate makers selling single-origin bars, bonbon boxes, drinking chocolate and gifts. It pairs looping pour, grind and tempering videos with an origin map, a cocoa percentage scale, a tasting notes wheel, a bonbon box builder and gifting sections, all on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds an AI kit so assistants can rebrand and extend the store safely.

Editions

  • Free: the LT Temper theme package: all templates, the section patterns, page layouts and colour styles. No demo content or demo import; the footer credit stays.
  • Pro Standard ($29 a year): + the complete LT Temper demo store with one-click import, one year of updates with a licence key and ticket support; the footer credit is removed.
  • Pro Unlimited ($49 once): + the AI kit, unlimited websites and lifetime updates and support.

Quick setup

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce, then upload and activate LT Temper (Install the theme).
  2. Pro: Appearance → Demo import → Import (Demo import), then add your licence key in Appearance → Licence.
  3. Free: build the pages with the theme’s patterns and page layouts (below).
  4. Pick a colour style in Appearance → Editor → Styles, set your logo and menu.
  5. Replace the sample content and go live (Going live).

What the demo import adds (Pro)

Appearance → Demo import shows one demo, Temper: A dark cocoa and caramel chocolate store with a pouring video hero, bar cards ringed by cocoa percentage, an origin map, a cocoa scale, a tasting notes wheel, a bonbon box builder, gifting and corporate boxes and a Lookbook film page. It adds:

  • 15 products (6 variable, with options, 4 on sale)
  • 5 product categories: Single-origin bars, Bonbon boxes, Hot chocolate, Gifts & corporate, Baking & tasting
  • 6 pages: Home, Shop, Lookbook film, About, Contact, FAQ & delivery (WooCommerce’s own Cart, Checkout and My account pages are used as they are)
  • The main menu: Shop, Bonbon boxes, Gifts, Lookbook film, About, Contact
  • The style Temper, the site title and tagline and the announcement bar text
  • 5 looping video covers, when the demo clips are available (the theme zip has no video files)

Existing content is never changed: anything whose address is already taken is skipped. Prices are marked “Example prices”.

Store-type notes: Motion product video

  • The theme zip ships no video files: the video sections use the theme’s own illustrations as image covers. The demo import turns 5 of them into looping video covers when the demo clips are available; otherwise the illustrations stay.
  • To add your own clip, select the Cover block and choose Replace → Upload with an MP4. Keep clips short and small (a few seconds, under about 5 MB), muted, and keep the dark overlay at 60% or more so the text on top stays readable.
  • The videos play muted in a loop, pause when they are off screen and for visitors who ask for reduced motion, and have a pause button. Products can have a clip in the Product video box, shown on the product page.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With the AI kit, an assistant can rebrand LT Temper, rewrite the origin map and cocoa scale for your bars, add sections and build launch pages without breaking block markup. It follows the theme's rules: samples stay marked, allergen lists stay placeholders and no health claims are written.

Example prompt: Set up this LT Temper store for my chocolate brand "Cacao North" (sample): five bars from 55% to 85%, a box of nine bonbons and drinking chocolate. Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

The live demo of LT Temper shows real photos and videos; the theme uses its own illustrations and placeholders. The photos and videos are from Pexels, free to use under the Pexels licence (credit is not required, but we thank the photographers):

Questions about LT Temper

Does the theme include the chocolate videos?

No. The theme ships its own flat illustrations. The Pro demo import adds the demo clips, and you can replace any cover with your own MP4 in the editor.

How do the cocoa rings on product cards work?

Give a product its cocoa percentage as a product tag, for example "70% cocoa". The card shows it as a ring; rings are ready for 45, 55, 64, 70, 85 and 100%, and one CSS line adds another value.

Is the bonbon box builder a live configurator?

No. It is a static section that explains the box. Customers pick the box size on the product page; a live flavour picker needs a product add-ons plugin.

Can I use it for a light-coloured shop?

Yes. Switch to the Milk style for a cream and milk-chocolate look; every section and video cover adapts to it.

Are the origins and allergen details real?

No. Farms, regions, tasting notes and prices are samples, and allergen lists are placeholders until you add your own.

Does it suit other makers?

Yes. Coffee roasters, tea blenders or other small makers can rename the origin map, cocoa scale and box builder for their own products.
