  14. Questions about LT Lug

LT Lug is a WooCommerce block theme for shops that sell watch straps by lug width: leather, suede, canvas, rubber and steel, all with quick-release spring bars. It has a strap rail hero with a lug-width selector, lug-width chips in the header, a lug width finder with line drawings, a material guide in long horizontal cards, a buckle and clasp picker, a sample length chart, a quick-release explainer and a care guide, all on WooCommerce's own blocks. Pro Unlimited adds the AI kit, so an assistant can rebrand and extend the store safely.

Store-type notes: Purpose store

  • The home page has only the sections this kind of shop needs; add more from the theme’s patterns if you want them.
  • Every fact in the specialist sections (guides, care notes, times, prices) is a sample: replace it with what is true for your shop.

AI kit (Pro Unlimited)

With Pro Unlimited, an AI assistant reads the theme rules and can change the lug widths you stock, rewrite the material guide, buckle picker and length chart, and build collection landing pages without breaking the blocks. It can also import the demo, switch styles and create draft pages through WordPress Abilities.

Example prompt: Set up this LT Lug store for my watch strap shop "Keeper & Pin" in Bristol (sample business). I sell leather and rubber straps in 18mm, 20mm and 22mm from £29, with a pin buckle on every strap. Use the Workbench style with my brown #4E3220, remove the steel and canvas categories, update the header chips and the length chart, and write my returns policy: unworn straps within 30 days. Never name watch brands.

See AI kit for the files, the prompts and the Abilities.

Before you go live

Everything in the demo is sample content: products, prices, specs, reviews, addresses and opening times. Replace it with your own, or delete it, and follow the going-live checklist. Pro Unlimited: python3 tools/check-theme.py --launch in the theme folder lists every sample left.

Demo photos

The live demo of LT Lug shows real photos; the theme uses its own illustrations and placeholders. The photos are from Pexels, free to use under the Pexels licence (credit is not required, but we thank the photographers):

Questions about LT Lug

How do the lug-width chips work?

Each chip opens a WooCommerce product search for that width, such as 20mm. Straps that list the width in their description appear, so no filter plugin is needed.

How are lug widths and options handled?

Each strap is a WooCommerce variable product with a Lug width attribute, plus Hardware or Length where it applies, so the choices appear in the normal add-to-cart form and can change the price.

Can I sell only some materials?

Yes. The material guide is a pattern of four long cards; remove or change cards and categories to match what you stock.

Does the theme show watch brands?

No. The illustrations show straps, buckles and tools only, and the demo copy names no watch brands.

Is it only for watch straps?

It is designed for watch straps, but the width chips, guide and long product cards also suit bands for other wearables, belts or camera straps after you change the text and drawings.

Do the demo photos come with the theme?

No. The live demo uses Pexels photos; the theme ships its own illustrations, swatches and line drawings.
