In the quickstart packages the home page and most inner pages are built with SP Page Builder (SP Page Builder 6 Lite (free) in the rebuilt templates; SP Page Builder Pro is not needed).
Open a page
- Go to Components → SP Page Builder → Pages.
- Click the page to edit, for example Home.
- Change texts and pictures in place, then click Save.
Rebuilt templates: one text block per section
Each section of a rebuilt template’s page is one SP Page Builder section holding the design as one text block. Reorder, duplicate or delete whole sections in SP Page Builder and edit the words in its text editor; the layout inside a section is fixed HTML, not drag and drop.
Rows, columns and addons
New pages, and sections you build yourself, are made of rows, columns and addons that you drag and drop:
- Row: a horizontal band of the page. Add New Row creates one; its settings hold the title, background colour or image, spacing and a Section ID (an anchor you can link to, for example
/#contact). - Columns: split a row into columns with the column layout icon; each column has its own background, padding and animation.
- Addons: the content inside a column (heading, text, image, button, feature box, slider, form…). Click Add Addon and pick one.
Add a new page
- In SP Page Builder → Pages click New, build the page and save.
- Create a menu item for it: Menus → Main Menu → New, Menu Item Type SP Page Builder → Page, and choose the page.
Give every picture an alternative text and keep enough contrast between text and background colours.
